We recently made Martin Jones, a bee enthusiast and supporter of Bees For Development, a light-weight bee suit for him to run the Cardiff Half Marathon in. He sent us the following message after completing the run on Sunday 6th October.
” Dear Sherriff’s,
Just a quick note to say thank you for your generosity in supplying me with a bee suit for yesterday’s Cardiff Half Marathon. The conditions were very warm but fortunately the suit was lightweight enough to allow me to complete the course in just over 2h43mins. Enclosed are some photos. So far I’ve raised £190 via online donations (*match-funded to £380), £40 of which came as a direct result of people being impressed by the feat yesterday,
“A lightweight suit cool enough to run a half marathon” comes to mind as a marketing line!
