Brian Sherriff a Patron of Bees Abroad and a supporter of Bees for Development having been on many a bee related holiday with them journeyed up to the Bee Garden Party at Lambeth Palace with Milly Knight who has recently joined Sherriff’s. The Bee Party was hosted by Martha Kearney of BBC ‘World at One’ fame who recently presented a short series called ‘The Wonder of Bees’ wearing one of our powder blue Apiarist suits.
Winner opf the delectable Sherriff’s Bee Hamper was Ursula Hashem who outbid Bill Turnbull!
Other bee lovers, some famous, included BBC’s Bill Turnbull, James Naughtie and Jeremy Paxman. John Chapple, the Queen’s Beekeeper also looks after the Archbishop of Canterbury’s bees and has just been sent a new Sherriff’s bee suit as his 25 year old Apiarist suit is now wearing out!!
